Bonjour!
I’m Claire, and Madame Cocker was born from love, grief, and joy.
It all began with my dog, Whynot: a silly, stubborn, wonderful little beagle who was everything to me. When he died, my world went quiet. I didn’t know how to fill the space he left.
So I started going to the dog park, just to be around dogs again. I offered to walk my friends’ pups, spent hours in the forest with them, watched them run, play, sniff, roll in the mud...
And little by little, I started to smile again.
That joy saved me.
And I wanted to give it back.
That’s how Madame Cocker began: not just as a business, but as a space built entirely around joy: real, tail-wagging, mud-splashing, nose-booping joy.
The kind dogs give so freely, and that we all need a little more of.
From the bright yellow dog bus to joyful group play in nature, it feels like a little schoolyard for dogs: full of freedom, laughter, and connection.
Every dog is celebrated here, just like Whynot was.
And with every wagging tail and muddy smile, I’m reminded exactly why I started.
